Exiting the Fifth Dimension: January Bullet Journal Theme

If there is anything you need to know about me, it’s that I love to give importance and significance to remedial things. Which is probably why I put myself under so much pressure to even come up with this month’s theme. I needed something to help me find closure for the past year and help me reset for what is to come. What I really needed was a session with my therapist, instead I put pen to paper and got to work. The result in my opinion is perfection.

There is one thing I always look forward to in the new year celebration, and it is not the astronomically inaccurate count down we stay up for or the excessive drinking that takes place throughout the night. What I look forward to every new years eve is SYFY’s “The Twilight Zone” marathon. This series aired way back in 1959 and will always be a favorite. This show had a little bit of everything, sci-fi, horror, drama and even comedy. Most importantly this show is a perfect analogy of this past year.

Which is why I thought it would be a perfect cover theme for the month of January. My new year themes are always in black in white, which made this an even better fit. I also like to think there is great significance in the simplicity of this cover page. The door floating in that great void is a representation of me exiting the 5th dimension that held 2020 and sealing it shut. I know I am not only speaking for myself when I say I have had enough of the darkest timeline.

Putting my trauma of the past year aside, I really do recommend you check this show out. Now you don’t have to marathon it with me on new years, but definitely look into. Matter of fact, let me give you a list of my favorite episodes.
